First job turned out to be a surprise

What the hell man! The national health care group girl told me i'll be handling some files and documents. i tot i will be doing some filing in an office. but my colleague Alvin and I were led to a storeroom instead. Two of us are supposed to carry 30 boxes(80 cm*50cm*50cm) full of paper to the truck in half an hr's time. I'm sure each box was about 20 kg cos it felt heavier than 2 packs of 10 kg rice. Even with the help of trolley, we sweated profusely soon after we started carrying out the freaking heavy boxes. So the malay storegirl suggested us to take our shirt off. We hesitated but she said the whole basement is staff working area so it's ok. We din expect to do this kind of labour so we din bring change. We decided to take off our shirt and started to bring the boxes to the rubbish collection truck using a trolly. Then we realised there are many nurses and doctors using using that staff passage. The nurses were looking at us in a way as if we are some sex-maniac or pervert..... felt so embarassed at first, never would i imagine myself walking around topless in front of nurses. but heck lah, we were sweating like hell and we din bring change. so too bad for the nurses lah, early morning ganna forced to see something so exciting....hahaha. This job is damn tiring man, somemore the people don't put in documents according to the label they put on the boxes. i don't think they are paying us 7 bucks an hour to sort out small useless documents anyway. yeh, so it's not an easy job to do. but hey! I did two hrs of OT today and that's an extra 14 bucks for me! I need money! haha. Tmr is the second day and also the last day of my work there. hopefully they can see that i have positive working attitude and call me for other job offer lah........

oh yes, first time to try the NUS food today. The Niang Dau Fu at business block is really cheap. 6 items plus noodles only cost 1.60. tasted good also. too bad the western stall is closed. alvin said the western food is damn famous. must try next time.

my favourite stall at NUS is the claypot at science canteen. there was a fantastic laksa place at yusof ishak before they renovated, i dunno where it moved to.
